KNEE CAP (patella): The roughly triangular sesamoid bone located in front of the knee, within the tendon of the quadriceps femoris muscle, a major extensor of the lower leg.

Kidney: A pair of "bean shaped" organs in the upper posterior abdomen, behind the peritoneal cavity (retroperitoneal) that filter waste products from the blood. Water, sugar and other valuable materials are reabsorbed and conserved, while the "waste water" is drained by the ureters into the bladder.
